Haverford Township provides residential bulk trash pickup for large household items and appliances.

    Effective immediately: You will have up to 5 business days past your scheduled bulk trash date to cancel and request a refund or change your scheduled bulk trash date.

    Schedule a Pickup:

    Collections take place on Wednesdays and can take up to 48 hours for the collection to be completed. Items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM Wednesday mornings.
    If items are still left by end of day, the items will be collected the following day.

    If your scheduled bulk trash item is still outside on Thursday, call or e-mail the Public Works Department.


    Please Note:

  • If the day you would like is not shown in the drop down menu under "Select Payment Item," then the maximum pickups have already been reserved.
  • The Bulk Trash Program is open only to Haverford Township residents, not commercial businesses.

  • If the information provided on your scheduling request is inaccurate, Haverford Township reserves the right to refuse pickup.
  • Only items entered on your request will be picked up.
  • Items may not be brought to the curb prior to 7:00 PM the night before your scheduled pickup date. *Violators are subject to Citation by the Code Enforcement Department

    • Reminder :

    Reminder that parking violation tickets that begin with “HH” can be paid or disputed on the Haverford Township website. Unfortunately the yellow parking violation tickets must either be mailed in with payment or paid directly at the Police Station Records Division, Monday through Friday, 8am until 4pm.
    By clicking the link you will be able to pay or dispute a parking violation. Once you click the link you will be directed away from the Haverford Township website to a secure e-commerce website to pay or dispute a parking violation. You will need the ticket # and the vehicle registration to complete any transaction or dispute. Should you need to contact us, please call 610-853-1298 ext 1261 during normal business hours. NOTE: You have five days from date of issuance of a parking ticket to file a dispute online.

    This service is for township real estate tax bills only - school and county real estate taxes are not accepted here.


  • Real Estate, Sewer & Trash Bill Online Link

    • You can pay your Real Estate, Sewer & Trash Bill from the comfort of your home or office by using our online payment service starting February 1st. Credit cards accepted: MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Visa. A per transaction fee of 2.65% or $3.00 minimum will be charged by the payment processing company for this service. Electronic Check service is also available through the same portal. A transaction fee of $1.50 will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.

    To process a payment online, you will need the property folio (or account) number, owner's name and property address.

    As partial payments are not acceptable, only payments in full, At 10% Penalty are acceptable at this time. Any transactions other than payment in full will be VOIDED or RETURNED (and cardholder will forfeit the convenience fee charged). See the sample bill below for locations of the property folio number and amount due.

  • Fencing
  • Sheds
  • Hot Tubs, Pianos, and Swing Sets may be coordinated privately between resident and the subcontractor and are not part of the Haverford Township bulk trash program.

    • Fee Schedule

    Effective January 20, 2023, fees for Bulk Trash collections (last increase Jan 2012) are as follows:

  • $22.00 per item.
  • 6 - 10 items is considered a cleanout and the charge is $122.00.
  • Each item above 10 items is $122.00 with an added $22.00 charge for each additional item.
  • Especially large items such as bunk beds, bath tubs, ping pong tables, and portable basketball nets COUNT AS TWO ITEMS or $44.00.
  • Mattress AND box spring sets COUNT AS TWO ITEMS or $44.00.
  • Sectional sofas are BY THE PIECE (each $22.00)
  • Large projection big-screen TV's, console TV's or older model tubular TV's greater than 27" COUNT AS TWO ITEMS or $44.00
  • Trampolines COUNT AS THREE ITEMS or $66.00
  • Due to differing sizes and weights, pick up of HOT TUBS, PIANOS AND CHILDRENS' SWING SETS are coordinated privately between resident and the hauler and are not part of the Township bulk trash program. You may call the Township at 610-446-1000 for additional information
