provides residents with valuable information on various public health topics such as Rabies, Lyme Disease, AIDs, Radon, Lead Paint Poisoning, etc. Also, residents are given referrals and contact persons for various local, state and federal public health agencies along with information on various public health issues and topics. We also handle issues related to environmental trash, rodent control, vector control, high grass/weeds and all other public health related concerns.
The Department of Public Health is located in the Building and Codes Department at the Municipal Services Building at 1014 Darby Road. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Animal Control now falls within the Haverford Township Police Department. The animal control officer can be reached at 610-853-1298 ext. 2205.
