Haverford will be among the first in the southeastern region to participate in Pennsylvania Resources Council's Traveling Glass Bin Program. Glass is known to be the heaviest item in our recycling stream and since recycling costs are driven in part by weight -- diverting glass from our recycling bins into PRC's collection bin can help reduce the cost of recycling for the Township. Additionally, nearly 100% of the glass collected is recycled into new bottles and jars, while glass collected curbside may be recycled, but may also be trashed or used as landfill cover. Using PRC's Traveling Glass Bin ensures that your glass is being recycled properly.
Individuals can drop off glass bottles, jars, and jugs of all colors from 7 AM to sundown daily at the Township Administrative Building. See below for full details!
